চৈত্র রাতের শেষ লগনে, 

নতুন আশা উঠুক জেগে,

 নব রবি কিরণে, 

নতুন বছর উজ্জ্বল হয়ে উঠুক, 

নতুন আলোয়, নতুন আশায়।

আমি বাসন্তী মায়া
বসন্তের পাখি হবো ;
হবো হলদে বেনে-বৌ
হলদে শাড়ী খোপারই ফুল
হবো সুকন্ঠী সুমধুর ।
কোকিল আমি হবো আজি
ডাকবো সারাক্ষণ ;

ফুল ফুটবে ফুলবাগানে
ভালোবাসার এই ফাগুনে।
ভাবনার গভীর দেশে
মাতাল হাওয়া বইবে আজি।
হারিয়ে এক গভীর দেশে
ভাবনার নীল আবেশে।

সুন্দরেরই ধরা মাঝে
বসন্ত আসুক বছর ঘুরে।
বসন্তের বাসন্তী আমি
ফুলবাগানের গোলাপ।
ভালোবাসার এই আবেশে
রঙিন করি বাগান।

ভাবনার গভীর আবেশে
ফাল্গুনি বাসন্তীর পরশে
এসো পাখি ফুলবাগানে;
ভালোবাসার উষ্ণতার খোঁজে।

ছদ্মবেশি রঙ্গিন রঙে
পাঠিও চিঠি হলদে খামে।
আমি বাসন্তী পড়বো চিঠি
মনের কোনে চুপটি করে।

আমি বাসন্তী মনে রেখো ,
বসন্তেরই ছোঁয়া
ভালোবাসার রঙ্গিন আবেশ
সম্মোহনী মায়া।
